FOX KARAMBIT KNIFE AND TRAINER

"My relationship with knives started sometime around kindergarten. I remember bringing in the tiny pocket folder my grandfather had given me to my kindergarten class for show and tell. When I took the knife out of my pocket and told my classmates about it, I remember how they clapped and wanted to see. The teacher told me she was going to hold on to it. Not because she thought there would be playground violence, rather, she was concerned someone would like it more than me and it would disappear.

I’ve always had some type of knife in my pocket, and during my school days the teachers would often ask to borrow it for some cutting task the classroom scissors couldn’t handle. In today’s world I would have been expelled. But fast-forward almost 40 years and I still have a knife or two on me at all times.

Guns are my thing, but guns and knives go together like peas and carrots. I also carry a gun everyday, but I use a knife almost daily. When I hunt, I use different knives for dressing game and camp chores. In my day-byday life, I use some knives for chores, like opening packages or removing an Irish pennant from a shirtsleeve. I also have  at least one folder on me at all times as a backup to my backup.

My fascination with steel brought me to the Karambit. I know it’s been labeled a “nitch” or cult following type knife, but the all business look of them has always caught my eye and I decided to learn more about it.
