About the Karambit Folding Knife:

The Karambit is a functional knife first introduced in the Indonesian archipelago. However, some believe that this unique design originated in Malaysia or the Philippines. The knife was originally designed to be a working folding knife and dates back to the 6th century. This unusual but functional design was first introduced into the United States at the end of the 1800s but was only put into use by the mid 1900s. In Europe it was first introduced in 1970 and 1980 for use in several martial arts disciplines like the Indonesian Pencak Silat, the Malaysian Bursilat and the Pilipino Kali. Today the Karambit Folding Knife is the next generation of Folding Knives. Thank you very much I just love it. Before this I had an Emerson Combat Karambit, but lost it in the field. Emersons are hard to replace. The Fox karambit is a nice alternative and it's a resonable price. ROCK SOLID CONSTRUCTION and EXTREMELY SHARP. To me the Fox Karambit is and always will be worth every penny!!! FIVE STARS !!! Thank you.

As a tactical knife collector and user, I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the Fox karambit. I believe that it is equal to the Emerson Combat Karambit. What can I say, owning a Fox Karambit Knife is like owning a Mercedes, quick and fast. It's just so correct !!! Every man should own a knife, you never know when you may need it. It is the most formidable and maneuverable knife I've owned. As sharp as the Fox Karambit is, it's curved shape, and that wave catch feature that can be opened with one hand, in any emergency situation it could not only save your life but someone else's as well. Just the other day I was reading an article that had a child who died in a car wreck and no one had a knife to cut them out of the seat belt.

Very sad. I remember 30 years ago when everyone I knew had a knife. It's too bad that child didn't have the opportunity to be saved as a result of something as simple as a pocket knife; and especially the Fox Karambit Knife because of the talon-shaped curve that is meant to cut into things easier, for example - a seatbelt. Again, very sad situation. Please for yourselves, get this invaluable tool, not just for defense but for rescue as well.

It was good talking with you today. The ultimate Karambit knife is simple in design with superb features that enable a super fast blade release, great ergonomics and the finger loop creates a positive and secure hold preventing loss of the knife during the most critical times during self-defense when maintaining possession of the knife could hold your life in the balance. Simplicity in design while providing such importasnt features is not easy. Simple is always better... less to go wrong.

The description could never do this tool the justice it deserves. I have a Mantis Karambit; it is nicely built and fun to carry. The Fox Karambit is the next logical evolution and certainly worth the price difference. Light and sharp, this tool will make you happy that you have it with you. Not really an EDC but i wont hesitate to use it as such. Clean it and care for it and I can see it will last a while. My experience in obtaining said tool was a pleasure and I highly recommend the tool and this site.

I have bought 2 G10's from you, one for my brother-in-law, because he loved the Emerson patent of the one hand opening of the blade, and one for myself. I did some research and LOVED your site, how you're buying a similar knife for a fraction of the cost but the same quality. Plus, when I called you to ask when the knife would be shipped, your dedication to answering your phone, getting ready for church, while I was in Iraq sold me on your dedication to your product and your company. I received my new knife several weeks ago and I carry it at all times. Well not quite. I have a 40 S&W at my bedside. I touch up the blade on my crock sticks frequently and practice my draw as there is a difference in what pants you have on. I love this knife.

I've never owned a Fox knife, but since it was based on the Emerson karambit, I figured I'd give it a try. All I can say is Wow, really nice knife. The blade is sharp, no blemishes, and it locks up tight. It is very well built, light weight, and opens in a flash thanks to the wave feature. Lad is a stand up guy to boot. Get one now.
